An additional note. fetchmail (version 3.6.26) was segfaulting under FreeBSD with Ravi's .fetchmailrc suggestion. To fix it I added an 'auth password' option. Hi All, 2.14.10 contains a fix for the problem that has prevented many people from downloading mail for the past several weeks. To do this is automatically switches back to the Yahoo! mail classic interface if needed. I recommend everyone use the --archivefolder option since Yahoo no longer has mail storage quotas and there are some inline attachments that fetchyahoo will not download. Get the new version at http://fetchyahoo.sf.net Let me know if there are any issues or any other ideas/patches . Yahoo! has reported that they will be soon disabling their classic interface (possibly as soon as June 15th). If this does happen fetchyahoo may require a fairly significant rewrite. Thanks, Ravi. |

Hello all, I'm running fetchyahoo version 2.14.7 on an account that I did not switch to the new Yahoo! Mail with no problems. I also have another account with the new Yahoo! Mail but I can not use fetchyahoo on it and version 2.14.8 crashes with this account. The problem is that the new Yahoo! Mail is Ajax based and fetchyahoo scrapes the pages in classic mode. My recommendation is to NOT switch to the new Yahoo! Mail version. Now there is no way to switch back to classic. My 2 cents. I've noticed breakage a few weeks back. I was able to get it working by switching the mail account to classic mode. [google search helped here. Basically switch off 'javascript' on the browser and then try logging in to yahoo mail. Then we get a prompt to switch it to classic mode] Since then - I received a 'service reminder' from yahoo >>>> Starting the first week of June, you will be prompted to switch to the new Yahoo! Mail <<<< So perhaps 'classic mode' will be deprecated.. Hi All, I am aware of the current fetchyahoo breakage but have not had a chance to take a closer look (and noone has submitted any patches or workarounds) . I hope to take a closer look over the next day or 2. I have been hearing that Yahoo has been completely deprecating its older interface so it may be that a partial rewrite of fetchyahoo is required in which case a fix will take a bit longer. In any case I will keep you updated with any progress. Thanks, Ravi. >________________________________ > From: Mark Pearson <mpe...@ya...> >To: "fet...@li..." <fet...@li...> >Sent: Tuesday, April 30, 2013 3:16 PM >Subject: [fetchyahoo-general] fetchyahoo broken? > > > > > >Hi everyone, > > >fetchyahoo has been broken for me for about the last two weeks. Hi everyone, fetchyahoo has been broken for me for about the last two weeks. Does anyone else have this problem or am I the only one? fetchyahoo appears to be getting an interstitial page that tells me to upgrade my browser (example below). I thought fetchyahoo has some logic to skip these pages. I guess that logic is broken. I can change fetchyahoo's user agent to another browser, but if I do so then fetchyahoo gets back a mailbox index page that it cannot parse. I am running the latest version (2.14.9). I also mailed Ravi (the creator of this oh-so-handy piece of software) but didn't hear anything; that's why I'm posting here. Has anyone run into this problem and/or solved it? thanks, mark example: <div id="main" class="rough-seas"> <div class="rough-wrap-fresh"> <h1 class="title-fresh">Yahoo! recommends you upgrade your browser to enjoy all the features in the new Yahoo! Hi All, Although the latest breakage did go unfixed for too long, I did release version 2.14.8 on Dec 1st (and sent out an announcement to this list) which should fix it and I've just pushed out version 2.14.9 which resolves an issue with messages that have text and html alternate versions. Some people have been reporting issues such as infinite loops. Many of these can be resolved by going into Yahoo! Mail options and making sure that "Turn on SSL" is unchecked. This is a known issue that I have not had time to look into. As always, you can find the latest version on http://fetchyahoo.twizzler.org/ Thanks, Ravi. It appears Yahoo! calls the Spam folder "Bulk Mail" in IMAP. So, you should be able to fetch the contents of the Spam folder with fetchmail as well. I think an entry something like this should work: poll imap.mail.yahoo.com with proto IMAP port 993 user '<username>' with password '<password>' is <localusername> here ssl folder 'Bulk Mail' Dan Jones On Fri, Dec 14, 2012 at 9:29 PM, Chris <cpo...@em...> wrote: > On Fri, 2012-12-14 at 21:11 -0500, Dan Jones wrote: > > Ravi seems to no longer be developing fetchyahoo.
