Unfortunately it's a little bit out of date. RSS has changed
since FeedReader was created. RSS 0.93 and RSS 2.0 added some new

namespaces where introduced.
My question is: Is there any chance to get FeedReader updated
within the next months?
I would be happy to help you. I'm learned and well-read in
everything about RSS. I wrote some articles and an own "final"
RSS generator (in PHP). But I can't do it without your help
because I'm not very good in Delphi.

I had the feeling, that the newer version 625 / 626 did not catch news from some feeds on the lower part of my list. I have tested my own feed (http://beissholz.de/rss.xml), even deleted it - it did not catch new news. restarting 621 did catch all news at once. The idea using xml files is good, but doesn't work with all languages. What i want to use is simple inifiles. Left side english text, right side translation, e.g. 'Open Window=Fenster öffnen'. This is not much work, i think i could finish it today. Since we need new translations anyway, why not do it now? I have found out yesterday that you need to be on a folder to use f2 - new
feed. when standing on a normal feed in an folder or outside, it does not
react. perhaps it is connected.

Hi all, updates today: - Marking all news read now updates the listview and webbrowser. - Saving/restoring form placement and size done (hopefully :(). - Fixed bug when under some circumstances "Open in new window" in EmbededWB doesn't open the choosen URL but a local explorer window. - Removed option to choose what happens if tray icon is clicked. Standard behaviour of restoring the last window state reenabled. I hope this form restoring works now without errors. Please test this. Jirî, please test the third bugfix, i hope this fixes your problem with opening the local explorer window instead of the link url. Regards, Karsten |
