Hi Cesar,

I installed eViacam as administrator, and set the permissions of each user to 'Full Control', and added a shortcut to the 'Startup' folder...but eViacam still requires authentication to start (elevation) and does not start autmatically when the computer is switched on/booted etc.

Even manually starting eViacam it requires escalation.

Is there a way to fix this within the intallation.

I've even set the 'Owner' to administrator and that doesn't seem to help.

Anyway, it would be great to have the software start when the computer starts.

kind regards
Victor

    Hi Victor,

as you mention, eViacam requires privileges escalation to run properly. This is because without them the pointer stops working when interacting with some applications (most notably osk). However, even with elevated privileges, eViacam stops when an elevation prompt is presented to the user and is unable to run special programs such as osk. Therefore, it is advised to run eViacam with UAC disabled (although is not the optimal solution) until this issue gets fixed properly. This issue has already been mentioned in bug 4 Windows Vista/7 compatibility, https://sourceforge.net/p/eviacam/bugs/4/

Regarding on how to run applications at startup, you could take a look here:
    http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1401-startup-programs-change.html

Let me know whether it worked.
