The Loudness correction filter appears to work by further attenuating the higher frequencies as the master volume is decreased. If the master volume is decreased to -6 dB, the lowest point in the graph is 2 kHz at -7.5 dB, resulting in a net attenuation of -13.5 dB at 2 kHz.
Now, is the actual volume being heard (relative to reference) -6 dB or -13.5 dB? I suspect it's -13.5 dB, because when you turn on DynamicEQ in AVR, the bass increases and the display remains at -6 dB, rather than the treble reducing.
Equal loudness countours seem to be centred at 1 kHz. 2 kHz needs to be attenuated even further. So I think the filter should display the effective volume at 1 kHz.
