Hello,
I have an ASUS laptop (Conexant smart audio HD + something which translates to "Intel Sound for Screens", would this be Intel Dislay Audio?) with Windows 10 64bits. I was happy with Equalizer APO until I installed Windows 10 Creators Update. I am not quite sure Creators Update is the culprit, but it certainly is the main thing which changed in my system around the time when it stopped working. Since then, I can't make Equalizer APO work at all. It does not crash, it does not complain, it only won't change anything to the sound output. I tried the troubleshooting options but
no OpenAL*.dll
no *_oal.dll.
* in the Enhancements tab of my Conexant sound driver : no general Enhancement checkbox, only checkboxes for 3 specific effects (Night mode, 3D immersion and Phantom speaker) which I don't think I want to enable.
Is there anything else I can try to make it work again?
I saw a few users complained about the same problem here https://sourceforge.net/p/equalizerapo/discussion/general/thread/44cf67fd/
This post is just to report that after unsuccessfully trying all the suggestions from https://sourceforge.net/p/equalizerapo/wiki/Documentation/#troubleshooting and those here, https://sourceforge.net/p/equalizerapo/discussion/general/thread/44cf67fd/?limit=25 , I decided to unistall Equalizer APO.
