Hello!
I was looking for an OS equalizer since I started to use Audient ID4 as my PC sound card.
Sys rec says "- the application must not bypass the system effect infrastructure
(APIs like ASIO or WASAPI exclusive mode can not be used)", but I'm not sure if I understand that correct (non-ENG speaker here :( )
Thx in advance for the reply!

It's not a big deal to just try out if EqualizerAPO happens to work with ID4 (un-install if it don't work). It is possible that USB audio device driver bypasses some of the Windows audio features ... maybe APO layer as well (that's why you have to try it to find it out).
Since Vista, Windows default audio device mode is WASAPI Shared Mode (DirectSound works on top of it) which allows using APO features (if ID4 driver supports APO functionality ...) .
You normally select ASIO or WASAPI Exclusive Mode through playback/recording software options (these options are not directly available through Windows own audio CP) and APO functionality gets bypassed when you do so in seoftware ... .
