Hi, I hope you can help me here. So I had buzzing/interference issues with my pc frontal panel jack and I bought this Jack-USB adapter to solve my issues. It has a built-in Realtek DAC and it works great. The problem is that I need Peace/APO to equalize two headphones: my HyperX headset and my IEM (KZ ZS10 Pro). I installed APO on my headset (both Playback and Capture devices) and it works, but if I change headphones it recognizes them as a new device and its box is unchecked on the Configurator. So basically I would need to install APO and reboot my pc everytime I want to use different headphones, even if the adapter is the same. How can I fix this? Thank you.

After plugging in the UGreen USB without the headphones attached, does Windows recognize this USB audio dac? If so, what's the name being registered by Windows?
Edit: I just noticed that you've also post your question on the Peace forum. If you're using Peace we could continue our conversation there if you like.

Thank you for your answer, really. I tought I needed to post it here because it's about APO configurator, but yes I've been using Peace for a while and it's amazing. I'll answer here then you decide if continuing here or not!
However, I tried to connect only the dongle without headphones and no, Windows doesn't recognize it. It is only when the headphones are attached to it. Their name on the configurator is "Headphones USB 2.0 Realtek" and "Microphone USB 2.0 Realtek".

Okay, "Headphones USB 2.0 Realtek" is a good general name so the only issue might be the changing of the device ID (the so-called GUID). This will be different for each USB port you insert the UGreen in. For example, inserting it in USB port 1 and installing Equalizer APO and then inserting it in USB port 2 won't work. The Configurator will show an unchecked checkbox that case.
But if you use the same USB port everytime and still having the issue you speak of then I don't know how to solve it. It could be that Windows is still creating a new device with a new ID everytime you insert the UGreen. That shouldn't happen. Windows should save the device and only hiding it when the UGreen isn't inserted. However, this can be checked by its GUID. If it changes everytime you insert the UGreen then that's the issue.

Yes I always use the only USB port on the front panel. I checked with both headphones and the GUID is always the same.
At this point I think I'll return this dongle to Amazon and think about different solutions. Do you happen to know good cheap DAC/sound cards? I just need to avoid using my front panel jack because it's really bad without buying expensive sound cards that would cost more than my headphones.

Unfortunately I don't know any cheap ones. Also I'm not entirely sure if the UGreen is to blame. It probably is but if you're using Windows 11, it could be an issue of this unfinished OS.
