On my Windows 10 system, the instant mode inside the included files with settings does not work. To apply the current settings, the included files needs to be switched off / on
(APO version 1.3.2)

  It should work as long as you keep your config files inside the Equalizer APO config directory. Equalizer APO will not watch for changes outside of that directory.

    Thank you very much! This worked for me. Previously, I actually kept the files in a separate folder
