Not sure how to troubleshoot this. EAPO 9.1 works with the integrated sound card on an old DELL Optiplex 755 that is running Vista Business Edition (x64). However, it does not work with the Soundblaster X-Fi XtremeGamer that I had lying around and installed into the machine. Windows is freshly installed, with only REW 5, XBMC 13.2, EAPO 9.1, and the Soundblaster X-Fi XtremeGamer (driver version 2.30.4). I have tried EAPO versions 8, 8.1, 9, 9.1.
Thanks for any help.

First of all, please make sure that enhancements are enabled (see here).
The next thing you could try is to enable trace messages and see if any log file is generated when you play back audio via the X-Fi (steps described here). If you have a log file, please attach it to this thread.
If no log file is showing up, you can use regedit to export the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\Audio\Render to a .reg file and attach it to this thread. Then I can see if the APO is set correctly for the audio device.

Hello again. It has been awhile, but I have not resolved this yet. I have just picked this up again, I had a different situation for awhile.
I have all enhancements disabled as in the guide. I have an Edirol UA-25EX that I have been using and all works fine with it. I'm hoping to switch over to the X-Fi card if I can.
After enabling trace messages, I have not seen any changes in the log file. As requested, I have exported the Render key and attached it.
Maybe you misunderstood the guide. The enhancements must be enabled for E-APO to work, because it is an enhancement itself. If there is a checkbox labeled "Disable all enhancements", this checkbox must be unchecked. If there is a checkbox labeled "Enable audio enhancements", the checkbox must be checked.

Also, I have updated to EAPO 9.2 and windows 7 (64bit) now, but still same problem.
