We should have bounding boxes that are 50% grey when hovering over a ship you own, white when you have selected a ship you own, green when hovering over an ally's ship, and red when hovering over an enemy's ship. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=754830&aid=1409609&group_id=143222 |

Category: Gameplay Group: All Platforms Status: Open Priority: 3 Submitted By: spaniard (wilson_adam) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Rulesets Initial Comment: Rulesets would allow players to use a different set of rules when creating a game. This may mean that the statistics for each of the ships and components may be different. Even models may be different, so the hope is that the whole game engine could be customized to a player's liking. People could create these mods based on our game. I think that would be pretty cool. We would have to update how ships and fleets are stored to include a ruleset tag to ensure that you only used ships that matched that ruleset, otherwise there could be some nasty inconsistencies. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=754830&aid=1240881&group_id=143222 |

Category: Gameplay Group: All Platforms Status: Open Priority: 1 Submitted By: spaniard (wilson_adam) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Docking Initial Comment: We talked about this before: allowing ships to dock with one another. So if a ship was really badly damaged, and its power plants were useless, it could dock with another ship that could repair it, provided that the ship met certain requirements. I usually think of this as allowing ships to carry a squadron of fighters, which would be beneficial since the fighters would have a shorter range per turn (most likely) than the large ship that carries them. Certainly this would add a whole new dimension to the game. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=754830&aid=1240873&group_id=143222 |
