Bugs item #1037008, was opened at 2004-09-29 09:47 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=554338&aid=1037008&group_id=78745 Category: addressbook Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: kwandar (kwandar) Assigned to: Miles Lott (milosch) Summary: CSV Upload doesn't use existing categories Initial Comment: When uploading using .csv for Addressbook, if you include categories that are already established, the .csv upload does not load into existing categories, but rather, creates brand new categories with the same name. This means that if you segregate addresses by salesperson for instance, you can't add more names through a .csv upload to that salesperson. While I understand that the csv upload is creating these categories on the fly, there is no logical reason not to recognize where data being uploaded has a category that is already existing and in use, and to use that pre-existing category instead of creating a new category on the fly.
