Hello, we released EGroupware 19.1 a few weeks ago: https://help.egroupware.org/t/egroupware-19-1-release-notes-changelog/73975 https://help.egroupware.org/t/new-features-preferences-or-other-important-things-since-release-of-egroupware-19-1/73972 So if you are really still running an older version, you should definitely consider an update. Updates from very old installations (<=1.8) are also possible! Old installations with outdated PHP and old operating systems are a security risk! See also my article about PHP: https://help.egroupware.org/t/uk-de-end-of-life-eol-of-php-5-6-and-7-0/73263 forum At this point once again the reference to our forum: https://help.egroupware.org/ If you are still using EGroupware or are (again) interested in EGroupware, be sure to log in or reactivate your old account. We often publish information about updates and other things in the Announcements category. Contributions in this category are automatically sent by e-mail to registered users (can be turned off). The forum can also be set up/used like a classic mailing list: [ https://help.egroupware.org/t/bedienungsanleitung-forum/70761#mailinglistenfunktion -> https://help.egroupware.org/t/user-manual-forum/70794#mailinglist ] There is no more support on this mailing list! translations We need help from the community to translate EGroupware. So if you are multilingual and can and want to contribute to translations, write a short email to Stefan mailto:su...@eg... . This is not difficult and even small contributions are helpful. EGroupware at events We are regularly present at events in Germany. We announce this early in the forum. One focus of the last events was the integration of LibreOffice Online into EGroupware. Information about LibreOffice Online in EGroupware can be found in my presentation from FrOSCon 2019 (German language only, sorry). In the slides some additional examples with screenshots are listed. Slides/Flyer: https://programm.froscon.de/2019/events/2414.html Video Lecture: https://media.ccc.de/v/froscon2019-2414-libreoffice_online_in_egroupware I have translated the slides into English. Here is the direct link: https://programm.froscon.de/2019/system/event_attachments/attachments/000/000/590/original/FrOSCon2019_Lecture_LibreOffice_Online_in_EGroupware_EN.pdf Greetings, your EGroupware Community Manager Stefan |

Hi, Ralf has already given me a developers account, and I've translated one p= age from German to English already. However, it strikes me that there is little or no co-ordination of this work. Is anyone co-ordinating the translation/documentation work ? I'd especially like to write manual pages for elements that are not documented in German either (like NewsAdmin etc) Please advise, Ian |

Hi Don,=20 thanks for your offer, we really need help in documentation. We have differnt kind of documentation: 1. Enduser aka manual 2. Admin 3. developer most of the docs is held in our wiki at http://www.egroupware.org/wiki. The manual gets transfered into from there into the wiki of your own inst= allation, if you upgrade manual in admin section. We can give you access to egroupware.org wiki, so you can start working t= here on user documentation. What do you think , how do you like to contribut? cu cornelius |

Greetings, I have recently begun using eGroupWare and find the lack of documentation a bit dissappointing. I would be willing to contribute a little here and there to the project. How do I get started? Regards, Don |

Hi, i would like to know when can we expect the first release of a eGw user manual? Is there probably a some kind of "beta" already or something which is already downloadable? Thanks. |

User doc in wiki, any objections to the format. It looks like the format = is simple and straight forward. Started an OpenOffice doc which i emailed Gentil and it pretty much mirrors the wiki. Screenshots would have to be changed or modified... actually ill do that tonight. I will pound on the docs this weekend and submit my additions in wiki.=20 PLEASE feel free to adjust them, make additions, or take anything out that just does not make sense, otherwise, im going full steam :) Jer -- Jerry Ruhe IT Coordinator |

Hi all, Yesterday I added an entry (User's Manual - The guide for the ordinary user) and some topics inside. Maybe this isn't the right title, but we must start =) []´s Orlando |
