Thanks for the quick response. I was reading the mail chapter of the Linux Admin Handbook, :-). So if I read your response correctly, eGW comes with its own mail module, which at least includes a MTA as well as a Mail Store, it is probably not as robust as that of Postfix/Exim/Sendmail, that's why Postfix is listed on the dependency page of the install manual, right?
