1. Security and Bug-fix update EGroupware 1.6.002

Stylite will release a security and bug-fix update, Version 1.6.002,
including GPL enhancements on Monday 20th of July 2009.

Regarding to the security issues related to FCK-editor (remote file
upload), tracking application (XSS) and knowledge base (SQL injection),
we strongly recommend to update to EGroupware community version 1.6.002
or to Stylite EGroupware Premium Line (EPL 9.1).

EPL 9.1 contents extensive enhancements e.g. in the file manager
application, which are not available in EGroupware 1.6.002.

Note: EGroupware hosting customers in the Stylite computing centre
(managed EGroupware) are already operated on base of EPL 9.1 with all
security updates included.

2. iPhone and EGroupware

Online access to EGroupware's calendar by using iPhone's CalDAV
interface (OS 3.0) is now available. We might be able to substitute so
far necessary 3rd party products for calendar synchronisation in near
future. All desirable CalDAV features are not supported yet as our
latest test shows.

Test report:

- http, https (incl. caCert): available
- Create appointments in EGroupware and iPhone: available
- Change of appointments in EGroupware and iPhone: only available as owner
- Edit of appointments: user right informations are currently not
handled by CalDAV, but generally possible
- Deletion of appointments in EGroupware and iPhone: only available as owner
- Content of appointments:
 * Titel, location
 * Start and end date
 * Recurrence
 * Participants incl. status information:
 * Accept / refuse appointment: not available
- Alarms: test are momentarily not completed
- Categories: not available, no interaction with EGroupware
- Other EGroupware Calendars: available, other EGroupware calendars can
be set up and shown particularly or merged

The necessary CalDAV-EGroupware enhancements supporting iPhone are part
of the current versions 1.6.002 and EPL 9.1
