Ticket modified by Tony Wagner at 2009/05/25 06:00 Tracking System: Bugs Category: Infolog Version: Version 1.6.001 Status: Open Resolution: Works for me Completed: 0% Priority: 5 - medium Created By: Tony Wagner Assigned to: Ralf Becker Summary: #2091 - E-mail notofication does not work Hi all, I have got a problem with e-mail notofication in task manager. When I create new task and assign some user, this user is immediately notified by e-mail. It is OK, but I need to notify for example one day before start of the task. So I fill in the beginning date and in the preferences I chose notification one day before. But nothing happened. No e-mail notify. Could anybody help me to solve this? Thanks Tony Wagner Comment by Tony Wagner at 2009/05/25 06:00: Files with screenshots are attached - see Links Comment by Tony Wagner at 2009/05/25 05:59: Hallo Ralf, Sorry for reopening this, but there is still some problem. The backup works, reminders from calendar works, but notifications from infolog still doesn't works. I made 2 test tasks - (I will try to upload some pictures), both created on 22.05: 1) start date 25.5., status Not started, Completed 0%, delegated to Ales 2) start date 22.5., status Not started, Completed 0%, Due date 22.5., delegated to Ales User Ales (and others) has the following (default) preferences: Recieve notofy about own items: Yes Recieve notofy about items assigned to you: Yes Recieve notify about due entries you delegated: one day after Recieve notify about due entries you are responsible for: one day after Recieve notify about starting entries you delegated: one day in advance Recieve notify about starting entries you are responsible for: one day in advance But eGW didn't sent any e-mail to Ales (I think that 2 emails should be sent: 24.5. for first task - one day in advance, 23.5. for second task - one day after). Am I right? Where should be mistake? Thanks Regards Tony Comment by Ralf Becker at 2009/05/21 14:14: Yeap, that's correct. The check is only done once each day at midnight. It might be 2am, because eg. your system runs UTC and your user-time is CEST (central european summer time). Deleting this bug now, as the issue does no longer exist - according to you. Ralf Comment by Tony Wagner at 2009/05/21 13:30: Dear Ralf, Thanks for info, it seem that I found a problem and now the testing emails was sent from asynservice to me. But I have one question: notify emails from infolog are sent only in 2:00 am ? Is it correct? Thanks Tony Comment by Ralf Becker at 2009/05/21 10:07: Hi Tony, only other idea I have, why it should NOT work: you have to enable the notification in InfoLog prefs for the user, who should get the notification (not the one who created the task)! Otherwise my only recommendation is to buy some support from us (www.stylite.de), so we can have a look directly on your installation - or dig into the code yourself ;-) Ralf Comment by Tony Wagner at 2009/05/21 09:57: Dear Ralf (not Tony, sorry), it really works, becouse the backup is done right under schedule, so I think that asynservice if OK. Please suggest what to check. Thanks Tony Comment by Tony Wagner at 2009/05/21 09:54: Dear Tony, thanks for info, but asynservice is planned and run every 5 minutes (it is on Vista and Xampp). Where could be else problem? Thanks! Comment by Ralf Becker at 1970/01/01 01:32: Hi Tony, this has usually nothing to do with InfoLog, but with a not working async-service in your EGroupware install. Please check it under Admin >> Async services, it should use crontab under Linux or you need to manually install something similar for windows, see http://www.egroupware.org/wiki/TimedAsyncServices Ralf Linked entries: http://www.egroupware.org/egroupware/index.php?menuaction=tracker.tracker_ui.edit&tr_id=2091&no_popup=1 |
