Hi Ananth, my opinion is that msh can't find one (or both) of the property files ;) If you're using Tomcat 4=2EX, try putting msh=2Eproperties=2Exml & msh_lient=2Eproperties=2Exml into your %TOMCAT_HOME% dir, if you're using Tomcat 5 put them into %TOMCAT_HOME%/bin=2E Hope this helps=2E Fabio Di Donato - senior developer and area leader Effedue Consulting - Via Cagnoni, 55 - 00124 Roma - Italia Consulenza, Formazione e Tecnologie per l'e-business Consultancy, Training and Technologies for e-business Tel +39 06 50932505 Fax +39 06 23318890=20 Original Message: ----------------- From: Ananth R ananthr@csa=2Eiisc=2Eernet=2Ein Date: Thu, 22 Apr 2004 17:34:07 +0530 (IST) To: ebxmlms-general@lists=2Esourceforge=2Enet Subject: [ebxmlms-general] MSH Deployment Problem----Log files Attached Hi, Iam using Tomcat 4=2Ex=2E Iam sending as an attachment the log files of he= rmes=20 as well as Tomcat=2EPlease diagnose the problem=2E Thanking in advance Regards On Thu, 22 Apr 2004, Patrick Yee wrote: > Hi, > Are you using Tomcat? Hello, I think you are using Tomcat5. I have had the same problem. In Tomcat5 it is not allowed for WebApps to supply its own servlet.jar in WEB-INF/lib (this is my interpretation of something I read in the docs). You have to remove servlet.jar from WEB-INF/lib. Then msh uses some implementation of servlet which is supplied by Tomcat (I think). Because my test are some weeks ago, I do not know, whether it worked (perhaps I changed back to Tomcat 4.0.6). Good luck Christoph ebx...@li... schrieb am 22.04.2004 10:04:47: > Hello > I am trying to use Hermes MSH (downloaded from freebxml.com) > I followed all the instuructions in the documentation.I edited > msh.properties.xml and put it in class path. > But after all that , whenever i run msh i am getting the error > "msh servlet unavailable". > Help me in providing a solution to this problem. > Please provide me instructions for configuring the msh.Key points to > remember?? > regards > A N A N T H. Dear Friends of ebXML, Your interest and support for Hermes (based on OASIS' ebMS v2 standards) and ebMail in the past 18 months have helped them gain acceptance. Hermes has recorded 5400+ downloads from 50+ regions/countries since its debut in http://www.freebxml.org in Sep 2002, while ebMail has 2500 downloads since Jun 2003. We are conducting a structured user satisfaction survey, and hope you could give us your feedback to better serve your needs. Data collected will also be used for reporting to our funding agency of the Hong Kong Government. The questionnaire is accessible in http://www.cecid.hku.hk/questionnaire/. It should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Your submission of the online questionnaire *before APRIL 16* is highly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your participation. Regards, -Patrick |

Hi,
Your program is correct. However, since you are writing a MSH client, =
the Request object will try to locate a property file called =
msh_client.properties.xml in the client side. Inside the property file, =
you need to fill in various information, including the location of the =
MSH server you want the client to connect to. Please try to locate the =
file and update the values inside the property file.
Hope this helps.
Regards, -Patrick

so my question is in the request object , what do i need to pass in =
for URL . if someone can explain in a detailed manner , i would really =
appreciate it.
i tried passing in the URL of http://localhost:8080/msh <my local MSH =
url > , then the servlet just hangs. i tried debugging it using JBossIDE =
and i see that it hangs in expectMapResponse() method of Request class.

Hello Christoph,
Basically, we can remove that option in our code. However, we need to do =
the regression test on our databases. Therefore, we may remove it in our =
next release. Meanwhile, please do the change for yourself first to make =
it work.
Thanks for pointing this out.

I found, that this problem is caused by this part of =

ResultSet resultSet =3D statement.executeQuery

The ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_SENSITIVE is not supported.
Would it be possible to change this setting to =
