After the problematic days of fixing games, I hope this can be a relaxing one to address.

    The issues I have are:

    1. DxWnd windowed mode isn't working
    2. The game is supposed to be fullscreen and in 640x480 video mode always. In real fullscreen this doesn't happen.
    3. Although DxWnd fixes the black texture issue that existed, I see texture holes in opponent's tires.
    4. CD audio issue: Go to Options > Sound > Test CD audio. In this process, the game should play CD audio but it doesn't.

    More details:

    • The windowed mode issue happens both with game in SW or HW rendering (go to Options > Graphics > Use hardware acceleration)
    • The tire issue happens when Automatic fullscreen is enabled in game's Graphics settings, it makes the game run in fullscreen. This fullscreen mode also happens to make the unrendered- horizon corrupt (disable Horizon is Graphics and run the game in fullscreen) to see it.
    • @huh2 's request of Hellbender resembles the horizon corruption, along with the horizon corruption if MSFS95

Do you really want to "relax" with a 1996 Microsoft game for Win95 with mixed GDI and ddraw rendering? Good luck ...
But I'm not going to move a bit until we pinpoint what game release and modes we want to fix. I got the old-games.ru RIP (that is a RIP of the Gold edition) but I see that you want to fix also sounds on CDA format, so what CD release do you propose?

The link that I suggested you works very well, much better than the RIP, but in effect it seems hard to run the game in fullscreen mode and scaled into a DxWnd window.
The CD sound plays well, both with "play from CD" and "use audio files" options.
Later I'll try also your disk.
    This is my current export:

p.s. the game behavior depends very much not only on the DxWnd settings, but also on the game options saved in System/MONSTER.INI. A good idea is to save the initial file to be sure to be able to roll-back in case the new settings are not allowing any more to run the game.

The export doesn't work for me, it gives the black screen as always. I am attaching my monster.ini too.

Yes it does, but I didn't say it was the problem. Please check the 4th problem in the main post to understand where I meant.

Which link other than the RIP?

        ...followup

the game is very stable and works on almost every legally supported setting in monster.ini, so I don't see a reason why it shall stop working.

Anyways I found extra settings inside the ini file, settings for dithering and mmx rendering as well as antialiasing.

No change with mmx rendering, dithering is available but bugged in driver (you have to fix it just like table fog) and antialiasing is probably working. there's also a flat shading option which also works fine.

I sent you a PM, the link was there.

The cd cover is same as mine. Should work equally on our ends.
