#647 First Highlighted Button.

I have a very simple VMGM Menu 2 with two buttons to select one of two videos.
The properties of the first (left) button shows a tick next to "First Highlighted Button".
Once generated and tested from files on the PC or from the final DVD, The right hand button is highlighted (on the TV) and neither is highlighted on the computer screen (Win 7 64bit - DVDStyler Ver 3.0.2 64bit).
On the PC, "Enter"ing on this menu also opens the right hand selection.

Surely this would be a bug. Has anyony else noticed this?

Ohhh! So how do you get around it? I'm just using it in basic mode with 2 buttons. I just want the first one to be highlighted as the tick requests.

Well thats the tricky part.

I use as a pre-command to the menu:

button=n;

with n as the button number. However, since the numbering used in DVDStyler doesn't always correspond to those that used in DVDAuthor I sometimes have to restore to reading the dvdauthor.xml found in the dvd-tmp subfolder to your temp folder.

Hi JMU,

I have actually got it working...
I did two things and don't know what fixed it.
I went into the second button and made it the "First Highlighted..." and then went back to the first and made that the "First Highlighted...".
I also ticked the box in the Menu 2 properties "Remember Last Selected Button".
Now it is working like a treat.
The first button comes up highlighted everytime.
