We could tag MySQL alpha releases as Alpha 2a, Alpha 3a etc, once we hit Beta, we will only deliver with both databases supported. The Beta phase will include no enhancements anyway, only bug fix's. If you agree with the Alpha 2a, Alpha 3a proposal I will release Alpha 2 tonight, otherwise I will wait. > I think we should be ok to go for alpha release 2 soon. I agree, although at the mo I can't see it being tested by many (if any) as its still missing its primary function, that of being a board :-) > You heard anymore about the oracle DB support or has that dropped > out of the equation now? Not sure, I'll nudge Ghassan to see if he is still enthusiastic about dnfBB or not. Rgds Si |

am still in the middle of implementing as you can't do it internally in
MySQL. It works but I am not sure it is such a neat implementation at

I will give you a shout in a while. I will plod on and see if I can see

Are you explicitly closing all DataReaders? I have had this problem
with
the firebird .net driver, if I don't explicityly close the data reader
and
commit/rollback transactions. Something like:
FbDataReader rdr =3D cmd.ExecuteReader();
try
{
while (rdr.Read())
{
//do something
}
}
finally
{
rdr.Close();
}
If you havn't solved it in the next few hours, let me know and I will
install a MySQL board and have a look.

Si, =20 Maybe you can help. I seem to be stuck and can't see why. You might have had the same problem with you .net connector. If not don't worry I just thought I would ask. =20 I can get onto the page and things when I don't have a cookie with any user details in. This is ok until I log in. Then it uses the cookie and I get this problem. When the function call goes off to get the user details I get the following error: =20 "There is already an open DataReader associated with this Connection which must be closed first." =20 It only seems to happen on the cmd.Read() function. All ExecuteNonQueries work fine. It is driving me nuts so I am looking for inspiration. =20 Any idea's would be appreciated. Until I can get this sorted I am stuck. =20 Cheers, =20 Simon =20 ________________________________ From: dnf...@li... [mailto:dnf...@li...]=20 Sent: 27 January 2006 13:48 To: dnf...@li...
