I installed ditto, I see a globe I click it then I get this
ditto window coming up with all the taskbar icons over it..
t'd be good if the taskbar icons could go with the ditto window showing without anything covering it but anyway.
I click an entry in ditto and eventually the taskbar icons window goes and stops covering it, so that's getting there.
Now let's say the highlighted entry in ditto is the one i'll want to copy/paste.
Now I want to put my cursor where I want to copy/paste.
I click to open a notepad window and as soon as I do that, clicking off the ditto window, the ditto window disappears. So I can't seem to keep the ditto screen open while I click in a notepad window or click to get a notepad window.

You can set "always on top set" to toggle this press ctrl-space or double click on the title bar or right click - quick options - always on top. This way Ditto won't close when you put focus to another window.
How i use Ditto is to already have focus where i want to paste (notpad/word/....), press the hot key (ctrl-~ by default). Select the clip and paste. You can control where ditto opens by right clicking - quick options - positioning.
