One thing to note in this post is about the CGI_SVC_OPTS config, --multi-grahs (typo) should be changed to --multigraphs there is no underscore and its missing a "p" . I figured this out after I scanned the source code for where the CGI_SVC_OPTS gets used. > > > > > > Thanks, > > Craig > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: dev...@li... > > [mailto:dev...@li...] On Behalf Of > > Joshua Krause > > Sent: 21 September 2007 15:09 > > To: dev...@li... > > Subject: [Devmon] How to if_* graph from Devmon to Hobbit > > > > I have followed this page I found on how to integrate graphs from > > devmon into hobbit. Recompiling wont overwrite any of your config files, it will just rebuild your binaries. Just run a make; make install from hobbit source . Trent -----Original Message----- From: dev...@li... Did you manage to get the .rrd files to generate correctly following the method on that page? My install was having problems with the perl script someone recently put up on the hobbit list for the extra-rrd.pl I think the required patch is included at the bottom of this archive post http://www.hswn.dk/hobbiton/2007/07/msg00135.html but hopefully someone has already done it as it would help me too! Hello, Creating a group effort of enrich devmon templates is very good idea. The main problem is that there is no more release made. I try contact to contact the developper because there many encheament to make. I still have no respond. So what i propose is to fork the projet make everything public on a svn and working to handle new feature. I thinking of: Better handling hobbit/devmon. support alert on if_* monitoring. etc.. What do you think? Kind Regards, KaYa |

I heartily agree with T.J. Yang. I see on the mailing lists that people have been working on lots of interesting templates and i encourage everyone to share the effor they have made :) In the meantime if anyone is looking for a particular template and is willing to pay i am available for hire on writing custom devmon templates for a fee. The only condition is that the test will be contributed to the devmon-templates package if it is reusable for other purposes. Kind Regards, Pall Sigurdsson |

I have been trying to create a template for a DC Power Plant made by Valere. But i keep getting no matching templates. The weird thing is the sysdesc string that i get when i poll it is "Sys Description". But when i poll it with sysname i get "Valere: Modular Power Plant". Is there a way to use sysname instead of sysdesc and if not can someone assist me in creating my first template, would be greatly appreciated... Thanks Josh |

Hi,=20 =20 I am wondering if anyone has or can point me to templates for a Cisco 2948 router as well as Alcatel sr7 and sr12 models. Has anyone had success with building a template for those? =20 William Joyner Systems Engineer Time Warner - Buffalo Division =20 This E-mail and any of its attachments may contain Time Warner Cable proprietary information, which is privileged, confidential, or subject to copyright belonging to Time Warner Cable. Right, I've updated to version 0.3.0-beta2 (and its new templates). Still, same old story. I am sure it must be me missing something. Any ideas, anyone? Thanks for the great devmon software and good documentation. I just realized that there are lots of effort need to be spent on devmon templates for different kind snmp agents. Shouldn't we distribute the burden and reuse others' effort ? I will need to write a template for ONStor 2260. and following templates are nice to have. Assume common snmp agent by net-snmp RH Linux Solaris HP-UX Windows XP/2003. Any taker to join the effort ? T.J.
