This email is to inform you of release '1.0.7' of 'Linux Virtual Server' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/linuxvirtualserver/ The changes in this release are as follows: This release adds a --sort option to ipvsadm, fixes the bugs in do_ip_vs_get_ctl() that return immediately without releasing __ip_vs_mutex, updates the Makefile, and fixes the problem of invalid checksums for IP packet fragments in the DR or TUN mode, to walk around the netfilter skb_linearize stopgap. Project description: The Linux Virtual Server Project is an Open Source project to cluster many real servers together into a highly available, high-performance virtual server. The LVS handles connections from clients and passes them on the the real servers (so-called Layer 4 switching) and can virtualize almost any TCP or UDP service, like HTTP, HTTPS, NNTP, FTP, DNS, ssh, POP3, IMAP4, SMTP, etc. It is fully transparent to the client accessing the virtual service. This email is to inform you of release '2.1.10' of 'Cyrus IMAP Server' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/cyrusimapserver/ The changes in this release are as follows: This release includes a wealth of bugfixes, as well as support for Berkeley DB 4.1 and support for two new character sets. Project description: The Cyrus IMAP server is generally intended to be run on sealed systems, where normal users are not permitted to log in. The mailbox database is stored in parts of the filesystem that are private to Cyrus. All user access to mail is through the IMAP, POP3, or KPOP protocols. The private mailbox database design gives the server large advantages in efficiency, scalability, and administratability. Multiple concurrent read/write connections to the same mailbox are permitted. The server supports access control lists on mailboxes and storage quotas on mailbox hierarchies, multiple SASL mechanisms, and the Sieve mail filtering language. This email is to inform you of release '2.01-pre1' of 'Syslinux' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/syslinux/ The changes in this release are as follows: This version changes MEMDISK and mkdiskimage to support hard disk images with DOSEMU headers. Project description: SYSLINUX is a boot loader for the Linux operating system which operates off of MS-DOS floppies. It is intended to simplify first-time installation of Linux, rescue disks, and other uses for boot floppies. A SYSLINUX floppy can be manipulated using standard MS-DOS (or any other OS that can access an MS-DOS filesystem) tools once it has been created, and requires only a ~ 9K DOS program or ~ 18K Linux program to create it in the first place. It also includes PXELINUX, a program to boot off a network server using a boot PROM compatible with the Intel PXE (Pre-Execution Environment) specification, ISOLINUX, a program to boot off ISO 9660 CD-ROMs in native mode, and MEMDISK, a tool to boot legacy operating systems (e.g. DOS) using a Linux boot loader regardless of medium. This email is to inform you of release '1.5.23' of 'syslog-ng' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/syslog-ng/ The changes in this release are as follows: Some minor bugs have been fixed. Project description: syslog-ng, as the name shows, is a syslogd replacement, but with new functionality for the new generation. The original syslogd allows messages only to be sorted based on priority/facility pairs; syslog-ng adds the possibility to filter based on message contents using regular expressions. The new configuration scheme is intuitive and powerful. Forwarding logs over TCP and remembering all forwarding hops makes it ideal for firewalled environments. This email is to inform you of release '1.11a39' of 'cdrecord' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/cdrecord/ The changes in this release are as follows: This release includes a small fix for a libscg patch from Linus (O_NONBLOCK doesn't work for Linux-2.2), a workaround for a Linux kernel bug (CDROM_SEND_PACKET returns wrong EINVAL), a fix for a Cdrecord bug with Yamaha AudioMaster and CD-Text (wrong TOC start time), the rewriting of padsize=handling to make it work correctly, and verbose printing now orthogonal for all situations. The option -immed now includes an experimental feature to support drives in notebooks that are on the same IDE cable as the hard disk. A mkisofs bug with -f (follow symlinks) was fixed. Project description: Cdrecord creates home-burned CDs with a CD-R/CD-RW recorder. It works as a burn engine for several applications. Cdrecord supports CD recorders from many different vendors; all SCSI-3/mmc and ATAPI/mmc compliant drives should also work. Supported features include IDE/ATAPI, parallel-port, and SCSI drives, audio CDs, data CDs, and mixed CDs, full multi-session support, CD-RWs (rewritable), TAO, DAO and human-readable error messages. Cdrecord includes remote SCSI support and can access local or remote CD-writers. This email is to inform you of release '4.03' of 'Stunnel' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/stunnel/ The changes in this release are as follows: In this version, NT Service (broken since 4.01) is operational again, a memory leak in FORK environments was fixed, the sigprocmask() mistake was corrected, struct timeval is now reinitialized before select(), EAGAIN is handled in client.c for AIX, and the manual page was updated. Project description: The stunnel program is designed to work as an SSL encryption wrapper between remote client and local (inetd-startable) or remote server. It can be used to add SSL functionality to commonly used inetd daemons like POP2, POP3, and IMAP servers without any changes in the programs' code. It will negotiate an SSL connection using the OpenSSL or SSLeay libraries. It calls the underlying crypto libraries, so stunnel supports whatever cryptographic algorithms you compiled into your crypto package. You don't even have to do it in docbook/xml, textfiles are fine. This email is to inform you of release '0.60.5' of 'BusyBox' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/busybox/ The changes in this release are as follows: In this release, init no longer deadlocks, gunzip -c no longer tries to delete source files, cp -a now copies symlinks, and init now provides controlling TTYs. Some other minor bugs have also been fixed. Project description: BusyBox combines tiny versions of many common UNIX utilities into a single small executable. It provides minimalist replacements for most of the utilities you usually find in GNU fileutils, shellutils, etc. The utilities in BusyBox generally have fewer options than their full-featured GNU cousins; however, the options that are included provide the expected functionality and behave very much like their GNU counterparts. BusyBox provides a fairly complete POSIX environment for any small or embedded system. This email is to inform you of release '2.00' of 'Syslinux' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/syslinux/ The changes in this release are as follows: This release contains a number of bugfixes, as well as a new COMBOOT/COM32 API interface which should make it possible to write user interface plugins. Project description: SYSLINUX is a boot loader for the Linux operating system which operates off of MS-DOS floppies. It is intended to simplify first-time installation of Linux, rescue disks, and other uses for boot floppies. A SYSLINUX floppy can be manipulated using standard MS-DOS (or any other OS that can access an MS-DOS filesystem) tools once it has been created, and requires only a ~ 8K DOS program or ~ 16K Linux program to create it in the first place.
