This email is to inform you of release '10.3' of 'nail' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/nail/ The changes in this release are as follows: Two errors in MIME header field encoding, a buffer overflow relevant for systems without iconv(), and two build problems on BSD systems have been fixed. The code now works around a problem in the OpenBSD and NetBSD C library that caused empty messages to be sent if the 'record' variable was set. Project description: Nail is a mail user agent derived from Berkeley Mail 8.1. It is intended to provide the functionality of the POSIX.2 mailx command with built-in support for MIME messages, POP3, and SMTP. It also contains some minor enhancements like the ability to set a From: Address. Nail offers its full command set both for interactive and batch use, and is especially useful for sending attachments from scripts or for reading mail via slow connections and on bad terminals. In recent system environments, nail is Unicode/UTF-8 capable. If you would like to cancel subscription to releases of this project, login to freshmeat.net and choose 'home' from the personal menubar at the top of the page. You'll be presented with a list of projects you're subscribed to in the right column, which you may cancel by highlighting the project in question and clicking the 'delete' button. Sincerely, freshmeat.net |

I use this alias definition so I just need to enter devil and
I can work with the DL system:
alias devil='TERM_OLD=$TERM; [ "$TERM" = "xterm" ] && { TERM="vt100"; }; chroot /root/devil-linux/lfssystem /usr/bin/env -i HOME=/root TERM=$TERM /bin/bash --login; TERM=$TERM_OLD'

This email is to inform you of release '1.11a40' of 'cdrecord' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/cdrecord/ The changes in this release are as follows: This version fixes a bug in libscg for dev= on BSDiOS, supports ssh(1) for RSCSI, includes better POSIX/FreeBSD compatibility, introduces a new option minbuf=, which allows to specify the dr. buffer fill ratio for the ATAPI workaround, now always uses -v with minbuf= and -immed, makes the FIFO code work on AmigaOS, fixes several CDDB bugs in cdda2wav, includes new exit codes for cdda2wav for better GUI support, makes HFS_TYPE and HFS_CREATOR work for mkisofs, prints a warning with mkisofs -f because there is a bug that cannot be fixed with this version, includes better DVD-Video support for strange players, and correctly handles UDF files > 1 GB. Project description: Cdrecord creates home-burned CDs with a CD-R/CD-RW recorder. It works as a burn engine for several applications. Cdrecord supports CD recorders from many different vendors; all SCSI-3/mmc and ATAPI/mmc compliant drives should also work. Supported features include IDE/ATAPI, parallel-port, and SCSI drives, audio CDs, data CDs, and mixed CDs, full multi-session support, CD-RWs (rewritable), TAO, DAO and human-readable error messages. Cdrecord includes remote SCSI support and can access local or remote CD-writers. This email is to inform you of release '1.1.12' of 'Postfix' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/postfix/ The changes in this release are as follows: 1.1.11 disallows RCPT TO: , exports the MAIL_CONFIG variable to postdrop, renames the Mailbox-Line header to X-Mailbox-Line for sendmail compatibility, and changes the example from domain.name to domain.tld. 1.1.12 "fixes a malformed address problem" related to garbage in "user@garbage"@domain address forms that causes SMTP or LMTP clients to exit prematurely. Project description: Postfix is an attempt to provide an alternative to the widely-used Sendmail program. Postfix attempts to be fast, easy to administer, and hopefully secure, while at the same time being sendmail compatible enough to not upset your users. If you would like to cancel subscription to releases of this project, login to freshmeat.net and choose 'home' from the personal menubar at the top of the page. This email is to inform you of release '1.1.12-20021124' of 'Postfix' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/postfix/ The changes in this release are as follows: This version fixes a malformed address problem. The garbage in "user@garbage"@domain address forms may cause the SMTP or LMTP client to terminate with a fatal error exit because garbage/tcp is not an existing service. This cannot be abused to cause the SMTP or LMTP client to send data into unauthorized ports. Project description: Postfix is an attempt to provide an alternative to the widely-used Sendmail program. This email is to inform you of release '2.2.7' of 'Samba' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/samba/ The changes in this release are as follows: A security hole has been discovered in versions 2.2.2 through 2.2.6 of Samba that could potentially allow an attacker to gain root access on the target machine. The word "potentially" is used because there is no known exploit of this bug, and the Samba Team itself has not been able to craft one. In addition to addressing this security issue, this release also includes thirteen unrelated improvements. Project description: The Samba software suite is a collection of programs that implements the SMB protocol for unix systems, allowing you to serve files and printers to Windows, NT, OS/2 and DOS clients. This protocol is sometimes also referred to as the LanManager or Netbios protocol. This email is to inform you of release '3.1.1' of 'procps' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/procps/ The changes in this release are as follows: vmstat now takes advantage of Linux 2.5 features to avoid a lengthy process scan. A header fix was also made, and the active memory now prints correctly with the -a option. Project description: procps is a package of utilities which report on the state of the system, including the states of running processes, amount of memory available and currently-logged-in users.
