This email is to inform you of release '4.6.0-pre3' of 'Midnight Commander' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/midnightcommander/ The changes in this release are as follows: Two major bugs have been fixed. AltGr now works properly on the Linux console. The build could fill the disk with a huge help file due to a bug in the help file generator. Project description: GNU Midnight Commander is a text-mode full-screen file manager. It uses a two panel interface and a subshell for command execution. It includes an internal editor with syntax highlighting and an internal viewer with support for binary files. Also included is Virtual Filesystem (VFS), that allows files on remote systems (e.g. FTP servers) and files inside archives to be manipulated like real files. If you would like to cancel subscription to releases of this project, login to freshmeat.net and choose 'home' from the personal menubar at the top of the page. You'll be presented with a list of projects you're subscribed to in the right column, which you may cancel by highlighting the project in question and clicking the 'delete' button. Sincerely, freshmeat.net |

This email is to inform you of release '1.0' of 'distcc' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/distcc/ The changes in this release are as follows: A major networking bug on non-x86 FreeBSD systems was fixed. A macrobenchmark that compares the time to build various large packages in distributed and local mode has been added. Project description: distcc is a program that distributes compilation of C code across several machines on a network, resulting in speed increases of 1.5 to 10 times. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/postfix/ The changes in this release are as follows: "sendmail -bs" was broken with Postfix 2.0.1, since it tried to contact the new proxymap service. Also, "makedefs" was broken with Postfix 2.0.1 and no longer recognized that PCRE was installed on SuSE Linux. Project description: Postfix is an attempt to provide an alternative to the widely-used Sendmail program. Postfix attempts to be fast, easy to administer, and hopefully secure, while at the same time being sendmail compatible enough to not upset your users. There are many miscellaneous fixes, and AgentX no longer flagged as experimental. Project description: The NET-SNMP (formerly UCD-SNMP) package contains various tools relating to the Simple Network Management Protocol including an extensible agent, an SNMP library, tools to request or set information from SNMP agents, tools to generate and handle SNMP traps, a version of the unix 'netstat' command using SNMP and a Tk/perl mib browser. This email is to inform you of release '1.9.9-rc1' of 'grsecurity' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/grsecurity/ The changes in this release are as follows: This release adds full-featured auditing to grsecurity. Full paths are logged for every feature, and all in-kernel code has been completely rewritten. PaX has been updated as well to solve compatibility with older libcs. gradm has been updated to 1.7-rc1 for this release. Project description: grsecurity is a complete security system for Linux 2.4 that implements a detection/prevention/containment strategy. It prevents most forms of address space modification, confines programs with least privilege via its process-based MAC system, hardens syscalls, and provides many of the OpenBSD randomness features. It was written for performance, ease-of-use, and security. The MAC system has an intelligent learning-mode, and all of grsecurity supports a feature that logs the IP of the attacker that causes an alert or audit.
