This email is to inform you about the release of version '2.6' of 'distcc' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/distcc/ The changes in this release are as follows: A text-mode monitor program to show the progress of compilation has been added. Portability issues for old Solaris and ARM Linux and some small bugs have been fixed. Project description: distcc is a parallel build system that distributes compilation of C/C++/ObjC code across machines on a network. It can be set up in just a few minutes and makes builds up to ten times faster. It does not require machines to share a filesystem or have the same libraries or header files, and installation does not need superuser privileges. If you would like to cancel subscription to releases of this project, login to freshmeat.net and choose 'home' from the personal menubar at the top of the page. You'll be presented with a list of projects you're subscribed to in the right column, which you may cancel by highlighting the project in question and clicking the 'delete' button. Dear Every developer, (This is the first mail I write in the morning!) In order to serve the need of the Linux Live CD Developer community, we will split our website into two. One for selling as usual, one develope just FOR YOU (checkout: http://www.linuxlivecd.com/develop/index.php). Months of development now become DEDICATED for Developer. And we will need to re-develope the part for selling. That is how we live by our word. SOmeone has raise the issue of inapprioate e-mail name and mailing list, we are working on that now. Don't hesitate to e-mail me on suggesting change. We can't accomdate everyone, but we try to. After all, I am going to breakfast now! Haven't do that for four day straight! Hello all developers and users of Devil 0.6 Beta! I just submitted a patch to CVS that reworks the support for adding network and host routes. For those of you who already make use of this feature have to be aware that for the next testing release of Devil 0.6 Beta they will need to update their config files according to the examples in: /etc/sysconfig/nic/ifcfg-eth0.sample /etc/sysconfig/nic/ifcfg-vlan100.sample Here are the files mentioned above as found in CVS: http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/devil-linux/build/config/etc/sysconfig/nic/ifcfg-eth0.sample?rev=1.3&content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/devil-linux/build/config/etc/sysconfig/nic/ifcfg-vlan100.sample?rev=1.2&content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup -- MfG / Regards Friedrich Lobenstock ____________________________________________________________________ Friedrich Lobenstock Linux Services Lobenstock URL: http://www.lsl.at/ Email: fl...@fl... ____________________________________________________________________ |

This email is to inform you about the release of version '2.0.12-20030611' of 'Postfix' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/postfix/ The changes in this release are as follows: This release improves the verify server performance and fixes a problem with "sendmail -bs" that was introduced with 20030609. Project description: Postfix is an attempt to provide an alternative to the widely-used Sendmail program. Postfix attempts to be fast, easy to administer, and hopefully secure, while at the same time being sendmail compatible enough to not upset your users. If you would like to cancel subscription to releases of this project, login to freshmeat.net and choose 'home' from the personal menubar at the top of the page. I uploaded the source tar-file for dialog, created the necessary scripts to compile and install dialog. It's all seems to be working. I built and created a new ISO with dialog, and it runs my setup script in DL running under VMware. So I tried to check in my changes in, but it won't let me: cvs add scripts/dialog It said it was already there, but I didn't have it. Looking at: http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/devil-linux/build/scripts/#dirlist There is a _directory_ named "dialog" under build/scripts with nothing in it (everything is in the attic). The attic stuff looks like an old version of dialog. So, what do I do? Rename my scripts/dialog file to a different name? If so, what should I call it? Delete or rename the existing scripts/dialog on CVS to something else? If so, how what ... ? Help! :-) -------------------------------------------- Bruce Smith br...@ar... > > Anyone running a distro w/"dialog" installed want to take a peek? > > I would like to. OK, the first beta is available for public scrutiny now. ftp://ftp.devil-linux.org:0/pub/devel/testing/scripts/setup-0.01.tar.bz2 untar it into an empty directory, and run "./setup" on a system with "dialog" installed. There is NO need to run as root, since it only modifies temporary config files in the current directory (included in the tar file). It still may contain bugs, let me know if/when you find them. Still on my todo list: Add a "load module" button on the module selection screen to allow test loading of the network modules. Possibly add a menu selection for "passwd" and "save-config"? Pretty up code and add some comments. Fix all the forth coming bug reports and style change requests. :-) Install "dialog" on DL and see if my script runs there ... (what I'm working on next, while I'm waiting for feedback) Have fun, and let me know what you think! - BS |
