Clam AntiVirus is an anti-virus toolkit for UNIX. The main purpose of this software is the integration with mail servers (attachment scanning). The package provides a flexible and scalable multi-threaded daemon, a command line scanner, and a tool for automatic updating via Internet. The programs are based on a shared library distributed with the Clam AntiVirus package, which you can use with your own software. The virus database is based on the virus database from OpenAntiVirus, but contains additional signatures (including signatures for popular polymorphic viruses, too) and is KEPT UP TO DATE. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=410646&aid=799178&group_id=34096 |

I was thinking if it would make sence, to export the descriptions from "make menuconfig". Most of the needed information is included, we could also add this file to CD *and* our website. You mentioned a good point, we should start creating the updated website. We could think about including it in the documentation, it would be easy to include the file I mentioned before. > Any other suggestions of what to demonstrate would be appreciated. I'll try to think about it, we could think about a phone conference or chat this evening. cya Heiko |

Care to point me to the right directory? First off all you need the Morphon XML Editor (www.morphon.com) which is free (now). Then you find the files in build/docs/documentation. The only file you need to edit is documentation.xml . It takes a little bit to get used to it, but then it's easy. Just take a look how I structured it. You can create the html documentation with the file build/docs/documentation/htmldoc cya Heiko |

Three weeks from today, I'm giving a presentation on DL to my local Linux Users Group. http://kalamazoolinux.org/ My main objective is to convince some of the floppyfw/ipcop/... users in the audience to try DL. My plan is to show how easy it is to setup a basic DL firewall with minimal hardware and the new setup script. Another good selling point is the vast range of software included in the distribution. Is there a list somewhere of the included packages in the new release? Something like http://www.devil-linux.org/introduction.htm would be great! Has it been written yet? Any other suggestions of what to demonstrate would be appreciated. - BS |

Tar file? The etc.tar.bz2? That seems like a waste of memory, since it can't be run in DL. How about I put it somewhere under the /cdrom/config/ directory? Also easier for someone to run it under their normal distro (not having to untar the etc file). I probably should write some instructions for it too ... :-) - BS |

My suggestion: Put it in build/scripts/scripts "make dist" should put it into a separate directory in the tar-file (i.e. scripts). Heiko |
