I don't believe that this is a bug, it worked fine all the time. Btw, I just checke the ISC website and RC12 is available. You could try it with the newer version. -- Regards Heiko Zuerker http://www.devil-linux.org |

sourceforge has been out of order all the day, so i post this here:
cc -g -I/data/build/tmp/dhcp-3.0.1rc11/includes -DLINUX_MAJOR=2 -DLINUX_MINOR=4 -c -o test.o test.c
make[3]: *** No rule to make target `../minires/libres.a', needed by `svtest'. Stop.
make[3]: Leaving directory `/data/build/tmp/dhcp-3.0.1rc11/work.linux-2.2/omapip'
make[2]: *** [install] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/data/build/tmp/dhcp-3.0.1rc11/work.linux-2.2'
make[1]: *** [install] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/data/build/tmp/dhcp-3.0.1rc11'
ERROR
/data/build/scripts/dhcp install failed
make: *** [install] Error 1
It looks like the detected version of the kernel was 2.2. Going through the configure script on the dhcp package i saw:
2) case $minor in
0) sysname=linux-2.0 ;;
1) sysname=linux-2.1 ;;
2) sysname=linux-2.2 ;;
*) sysname=linux-2.2 ;;
esac;;
so there is no support for linux 2.4? is this a bug on isc dhcp?

There were also several other bugfixes. Project description: PHP is a widely-used Open Source general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for Web development and can be embedded into HTML. Its syntax draws upon C, Java, and Perl, and is easy to learn. PHP runs on many different platforms and can be used as a standalone executable or as a module under a variety of Web servers. It has excellent support for databases, XML, LDAP, IMAP, Java, various Internet protocols, and general data manipulation, and is extensible via its powerful API. It is actively developed and supported by a talented and energetic international team. Numerous Open Source and commercial PHP-based application packages are available. Because it re-executes the program every time you press "select". > pd.- please, don't kick me for asking this :)) Nah, it sucks. You know it, I know it, I suspect others know it too. :) I've thought about rewriting it to use the "dialog" I use in the "setup" program, but that sounds like a lot of work, and there is other stuff I'd rather do first. Maybe someday ... - BS |

There are only two files modified: - configuration/prepare.config added a KERNEL tag to the menuconfig options, so now one could choose the cpu type for the linux kernel. This is completely independant from the CONFIG_CPU switch. So now we have: CONFIG_CPU : the command passed to gcc as -march=type CONFIG_KERNEL_CPU : the string appended to the linux .config file. - scripts/prepare one line modified, so $CONFIG_KERNEL_CPU is written to the .config file. So, as pointed on the kernel mailing list (see the link on prepare.config), for an epia c3-2 motherboard you have to choose CPU=686 and KERNEL=VIAC3-2. This email is to inform you about the release of version '1.9' of 'GNU Wget' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/wget/ The changes in this release are as follows: Many bugfixes since the last public release. The ability to transmit data with the POST method has been added. IPv6 support is experimentally available (a more complete implementation is in the works). The option --timeout now also applies to DNS lookups. The progress bar has been improved to show download speed over a recent period, rather than over the average speed of the entire download. Connecting to FTP sites through FWTK firewalls should now work. It is possible to turn off DNS caching. Characters in file names are no longer aggressively %-escaped. Project description: GNU Wget is a utility for noninteractive download of files from the Web. It supports HTTP and FTP protocols, as well as retrieval through HTTP proxies. It can follow HTML links, download many pages, and convert the links for local viewing. It can also mirror FTP hierarchies or only those files that have changed. Wget has been designed for robustness over slow network connections; if a download fails due to a network problem, it will keep retrying until the whole file has been retrieved. The new board (CL one) with two network interfaces is the perfect small motherboard. 2 ATA133/6 usb2.0/1 firewire/1Ghz/not-so-bad-AGP-VGA/crappy AC97 sound/very small form factor. I'm going to add a pci prism2.5 board and a little couple of hds (320Gb) so it would be my storage server :) I'll boot it from usb, with dl, of course. The problem with the cpu was that old motherboards didn't support xchg instructions, and many software (like openssl) will fail to run. Because of that, a proper entry has been added to the kernel cpu options. In old kernels, you should build them as 386. -- -- gnupg keyfingerprint -- 48AF 5BF9 8F54 2966 64CC 2327 7CD0 DD91 B09D 5799 -- Use of a keyboard or mouse may be linked to serious injuries or disorders. I would say we don't give a choice to the user, it's always /var. 1) variable data has to be under /var 2) mount point must exist and we can only create them in /var, since the CD is read-only -- Regards Heiko Zuerker http://www.devil-linux.org |

Currently only the selection of Intel CPUs is possible. You can do the following trick: Let "make build" run until it comes to compiling GCC and then stop it. Go to build/tmp/linux-2.4.22 and change the value in the .config file. This will only change the Kernel, so I would suggest that you select in menuconfig 486. -- Regards Heiko Zuerker http://www.devil-linux.org |
