Yes you're right, it's hardcoded in /etc/init.d/mountfs . That's actually a good point, we should make this dynamic in 1.1. -- Regards Heiko Zuerker http://www.devil-linux.org |

Never mind, I read the mountfs startup script. I thought the names must be hard-coded because not everything gets mounted under /var. Now I see that only home, opt and swap are hard-coded. This email is to inform you about the release of version '2.6.0' of 'Libxml' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/libxml/ The changes in this release are as follows: A lot of updates and improvements were made to the APIs, including SAX2, error handling, and xmlWriter. Better parser interfaces and modularity of the toolkit were implemented. A lot of bugfixes are included. Performance was improved, while the code size was reduced. Project description: Libxml is the XML C library developed for the Gnome project. The library code is portable (to Linux, Unix, Windows, embedded systems, etc.) and modular; most of the extensions can be compiled out. Libxml implements a number of existing standards related to markup languages, including the XML standard, Namespaces in XML, XML Base, Relax NG, RFC 2396, XPath, XPointer, HTML4, XInclude, SGML Catalogs, and XML Catalogs. In most cases, libxml tries to implement the specifications in a relatively strict way. To some extent, it provides support for the following specifications, but doesn't claim to implement them: DOM, FTP client, HTTP client, SAX, and DocBook SGML. Support for W3C XML Schemas is in progress. It includes xmllint, a command line XML validator. If you would like to cancel subscription to releases of this project, login to freshmeat.net and choose 'home' from the personal menubar at the top of the page. You'll be presented with a list of projects you're subscribed to in the right column, which you may cancel by highlighting the project in question and clicking the 'delete' button. hello
i ran into an mkisofs error when running the custom-cd script included in the most recent release of devil-linux
this error accured on both a redhat9, and knoppix (release date august 26, 2003) installations
the error reads
Warning: creating filesystem that dows not conform to ISO-9660
mkisofs: Error: '(NULL POINTER)' and './root/devil.linux.1.c/tmp4359/rr_moved' have the same Rock Ridge name 'rr_moved'.
mkisofs: Unable to sort directory
Your new ISO image has been created: ./root/devil.linux.1.c/bootcd.iso
mkisofs oviously fails as no iso image is found
athy thoughts
thanks Michael

There are some settings which should be upgraded. I.e. timezone, hostname, keyboard... Can you "update" those? Heiko = |
