This email is to inform you about the release of version '2003616-p6' of 'amavisd-new' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/amavisd-new/ The changes in this release are as follows: This maintenance release includes several fixes for mail parts decoding, handles SQL server restarts better, added a new amavis-milter.c, and made several updates to the av_scanners list. There were also some smaller changes for increased stability. Project description: amavisd-new is a high-performance and reliable interface between MTAs and one or more content checkers, including virus scanners, and/or the Mail::SpamAssasin Perl module. It talks to the MTA via (E)SMTP or LMTP, or by using helper programs. No timing gaps exist in the design, which could cause a mail loss. It is normally positioned at or near a central mailer, not necessarily where the user's mailboxes and final delivery takes place. Yes, i've checked this, and the script in the cvs is ok. I need to use full paths since depmod needs them on the make install stage. i looked very careful at this issue, and things have to be done like that. alsa-drivers have only the kernel modules, and they don't relay on paths. -- -- gnupg keyfingerprint -- 48AF 5BF9 8F54 2966 64CC 2327 7CD0 DD91 B09D 5799 -- Use of a keyboard or mouse may be linked to serious injuries or disorders. Hey I was just taking a quick look at the alsa-driver script and here some tips which make you life easier and keep the style: * configure Use for the configure scripts i.e. --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc Otherwise the program will look later for the directory /data/build/tmp/ISO/blabla * make install (1) Take a look at the Makefile and see if they offer the use of the variable DESTDIR or INSTALL_ROOT. Check other scripts to see a sample how to use it. Install the stuff in into the directory $WORKDIR/tmp : make install DESTDIR=$WORKDIR/tmp Copy the files from there to the approperiate directories. cya Heiko |

But it works the following way: I format the USB stick with FAT16, transfer the MBR and syslinux bootloader. Then I copy a bunch of files to the root of the stick (license, DEVIL-LINUX file to recognize the correct partition) and I copy the file bootcd.iso. Then I (loop) mount the iso image. The main disadvantage is that we can't unmount the initrd (since we have open file), but we'll probably find a way around this too. cya Heiko |

I don't know anything about "zisofs", but if it's anything like ISO9660 (the standard for CDROM's), then there may be a problem. You can't write to ISO9660 filesystems, no matter if they are on read-write media or not. If that's the case, then the pendrive would have to be partitioned with a second non-zisofs partition to save the config to. > I can't test it today, since a friend is picking me up soon. > Remind me tomorrow, to check it.
