#1305 Start button in Pokemon Plat isn't working
So I've started playing Pokemon Platinum and everything is running smoothly, no lag,etc. but when I press enter the start menu doesn't pop up, any solutions for this? I've try changing, and pressing both of the enter buttons but it still doesn't work.

The start button is configured to the enter key in your screenshot.
You got me on one point, though. The game does SAY it requires pressing start. Alright, fair enough, I was wrong (You can press any other key, though).
The game doesn't tell you to press start any other time. It does tell you to press X. Actually, start and X both work... in this game. In some other NDS pokemon games, start does NOT work. And what most people are confused about is they think they have to press start (since that's what you had to press on the GBA and GBC games) yet it doesn't work because the game explicitly tells you to press X.
If anyone is running into this issue the solution is to map the x controller button to a clear key because the start menu opens with controller button x for pokemon platinum.
Or you could leave the x controller button mapping alone so that it's default-mapped to your keyboard's S key

You need to press the x button NOT THE KEY, Button!!! Set it to any key you want to and press it that opens the menu

Who told you to press the start button? Why don't you try pressing some other buttons?
Im playing pokemon platinum and it tells me the start button is enter. IM playing on mac and enter does not work

I also cannot change the keybinds and is says that I have to press enter key to start the game but that does not work.
I really don't believe you. Show me a screenshot of the control bindings open at the same time as the screen telling you to press start. You might also try using a version of desmume that's not years old.

If you've pressed every key (doubtful) and it didn't work, then perhaps you're staring at a prompt that wants you to "touch" (that is, click)
to open the start menu of pokemon, click on the key you have assigned to X
