As stated in other threads, a caldav calendar is not just a bunch of events that you can move to another calendar. To implement Caldav, you also need to implement all the inbox/freebusy/notification features, and those wille not move with the events. You will not be able to accept/decline invites from your davical calendar if you only copy events.
