As soon as the proposed EWS Frontend is done, a Backend for those Services that DavMail already knows so well would make it an even more valuable gateway. For instance, you could use accounts like Gmail or iCal (both of which now only provide IMAP/CalDAV/CardDAV access) with any EWS capable Outlook version without installing a plugin!

You could also see it as a complete reversal of DavMail's normal operation.
