I have a peculiar situation when I hibernate my machine (Windows 10 Pro, DavMail 4.8.0-2479 32-bit, Thunderbird 52.3.0 32-bit) and restart it on a DIFFERENT network. I have three different DavMail instances running, to connect to three different hosted Exchange services (2 Office 365, 1 hosted exchange). I normally just close the lid when I'm done working and, after a suitable time, the machine does the hibernate/save to disk stuff.

If I resume the machine on the SAME network as when it hibernated (e.g., I am on my home wireless and open it up again at home and reconnect to the home wireless), then everything is fine. There's only three icons in the notification area and eveything works as advertised. I can do that multiple times without any performance degradation.

If I resume the machine on a DIFFERENT network as when it hibernated (e.g., I am at work on wired/wireless and open it up again at home and connect to the home wireless), then I have six icons in the notification area. If I do that transition again (go BACK to work after opening at home), then I have NINE icons in the notification area and DavMail / Thunderbird starts to slow down to the point of not being usable. Mail shows up slowly and moving messages into a Davmail controlled IMAP server takes > 30 seconds per message, and if I'm moving a Conversation with more than a couple of messages, I'd better go get some coffee and wait for TB/DavMail to finish.

No matter how many icons are in the notification area, only three of them respond to a right-click event, the others just ignore the click but they don't disappear. The way to get Thunderbird to start going faster again is by right-click the Davmail icons and cilcking "Exit" for the three that respond. All the rest then suddenly wink out of existence. I then do WINDOWS-R and type "shell:startup" to get back to the startup folder where I double-click the short-cuts I've created for the three different DavMails that I need to run.

After that point, Thunderbird is happy and speedy again, until I hibernate again and restart on a different network.

I'm not even sure which logs might be useful on this one so I'll just wait to see if you want something in particular or if you've seen this before. Since I have a good workaround I'm not that concerned but it is annoying because if I stop Davmail at the "wrong" time, then Thunderbird goes apeshit and I have to shut it down and restart it as well.

Thanks for such a GREAT tool, it's kept me sane since I can still use Thunderbird and the unified folders even with the corporate mail servers I have to connect to and use.

I received a single report of multiple tray icons, which was related to multiple monitors handling in Windows 10.

Anyway we should probably try to first get rid of SWT => please try to delete all swt jars from DavMail lib folder and try to reproduce the issue.

SWT dropped in 4.8.5, should fix this issue.

    Please try with 4.8.6
