What version of C::B are you using? If you are not using the latest nightly give it a try as the keybinder plugin has been updated since 20.03.

If you look in the ~/.config/codeblocks/<personality>.cbKeybinder20.conf file and see what the accelerator for "Ctrl-Shift" is set to if any and let us know if you find it. The default personality is default.</personality>

If you cannot find the accelerator for "Ctrl-Shift" can you please attach the cbKeybinder20.conf file you are using.

I cannot reproduce it with an C::B nightly 12969 when I do the following:
    1) Open an existing workspace
    2) Open a CPP file
    3) Goto the end of a line in the file that has code on it
    4) Press Ctrl-Shift using the keys on the left side of the keyboard - nothing happens
    5) Press Ctrl-Shift using the keys on the right side of the keyboard - nothing happens
    6) Press Ctrl-Shift using the keys on the right and left or vice versa on the keyboard - nothing happens.
Note: My cbKeybinder20.conf has no entry for Ctrl-Shift.

So, if I set the layout switch shortcut to smth else(alt+shift), neither ctrl+shift nor alt+shift causes the bug.
As I mentioned earlier, I've got that installed: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/xorg-server-bug865 Not sure if this helps.
And there's no accelerator for ctrl+shift.

Still an issue for nightly build
