The contex function "Collapse search" imho does not behave as intended. This function requires to set ThreadSearch/Options/Layout/LoggerType=ListSTC.
Observed: After selecing the function a previously tree with all leafs open is collapsed so that only the root leaf is visible
Expected: After selecing the function a previously tree with all leafs open is collapsed so that only the first order child leafs are visible
Reason: The root leaf does not give any useful information to the user. It just says "=>Searching for 'xxxx' (options)'. Useful would be the first line of childred which show which files are affected. In 100% of all cases I have been selecting that function that is what I was interested in. To get that today I have to click once for he context menu and a second time at he tiny root icon to open the tree again. To reduce this to 1 click is more than 100% saving and make a key feature of the ListSTC a lot more fun to use.
This is debatable.... We could also add a context menu entry to collapse to all files, or if you press "collapse file" on the search entry, collapse all to file.
But more importantly there should be some option to "un"collapse the elements (file or search). Or at least under windows this is not working
I am not sure that two "collapse" context menu settings are confusing, maybe an option under the "Logger Typ" is an alternative. Uncollapsing Is nothing I have missed yet, but it makes sense to have that as well.
