Ladies and Gentlemen: I am currently looking to pick-up some more work. I have over 4 years experience with PHP/MySQL in conjunction with a myriad of other skills and talents. I would be interested in both projects that I can take on myself and partnering with other developers who find themselves in the fortunate position of having a little too much work. The ideal situation would be an arrangement that worked both ways, me helping you when you're busy and you helping me when I'm busy. Please feel free to contact me at 513.373.4200 or the via email. Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you, Paul McGrane ___________________________ LYNX Technology Development www.lynxtdc.com 513.373.4200 |

[Please contact Andy (below) directly.] Senior PHP and PostgreSQL Software Developer We need a new member to join our fantastic team of software developers. Candidate will need to have strong OOP PHP skills, and a good understanding of databases (we use PostgreSQL, but MySQL/anything comparable should do). (Subversion knowledge a plus!) We write browser-accessible applications for our clients, which range from case tracking to inventory management. Most of these applications have been in continuous development, while in production environments, for around 5 years, so they are relatively mature. A majority of our clients are non-profits that help under-privileged people out. A nice bonus. We're in Wicker Park, a neighborhood in Chicago, and easily accessible via the El (blueline), Milwaukee Bus, and there's lots of parking. A great working environment with a great company, great healthcare, and rewarding work. Andy Plax andyplax AT networkninja DOT com -- Some people have a "gift" link here. Know what I want? I want you to buy a CD from some starving artist. http://cdbaby.com/browse/from/lynch Yeah, I get a buck. So? |

Hi all! I have a paying job that I someone local to work with me on. All I know at this point is the client has 2 databases, one needs to be put into the other and there may be an Excel sheet that needs go in as well. The databases are either SQL or Access and the main database needs to connect to the web. It's an onsite project in Northbrook, IL. I'll need someone to go out there with me to evaluate the project, then quote the project, then complete the project. Please get back with me ASAP, if you are interested. Hi folks, my name is Kenneth Downs, I am a developer working on Long Island, NY. My company has developed a PHP-based business applications framework known as "Andromeda" that I have shown at NYPHP and in May will show at Boston PHP. Normally I 'hang out' on the NYPHP and LIPHP lists, but I wanted to make these announcements here as well in the hope that somebody may find it interesting. SOURCEFORGE ----------- The Andromeda project is now using Sourceforge.net to host our downloads and to provide news and mailing lists. The site is at: www.sourceforge.net/projects/andro NEW DOMAIN: ANDROMED-PROJECT.ORG -------------------------------- We have also obtained a new domain name to host the main project site, which is: http://www.andromeda-project.org BROWSER-BASED INSTALL --------------------- We have a new browser-based install to replace the old command-line install. Some early adopters have worked out a couple of kinks for us and it is beginning to look strong. TUTORIALS PROJECT ----------------- For the past two weeks we have been working on "one tutorial per day", until the entire feature set is covered. We are on schedule with ten tutorials so far, more to come. |

I've just turned "on" content-filtering for this list. The interface is a bit confusing, and not really what I was look for (spam elimination). It will strip attachments and convert everything to plain-text. Or, perhaps, if I've interpreted the settins correctly, it will just reject anything that's not plain old text message... At any rate, if you have any trouble with messages not getting through, you'll know why. No attachments, no HTML enhanced (cough, cough) emails. PS Apparemently, some list members with inferior spam filters are seeing a lot of junk from this list... I never see any, but I throw out anything with spam assassin score 3 or higher.
