I ended up just writing a small program that uses the Windows waveOutOpen and waveOutWrite to send some raw PCM data to my driver. Turns out that what I send to waveOutWrite is not what shows up in the driver. I don't have a volume control, 'cause I don't expose one to the OS for the device. In looking at MSDN, it appears that maybe kmixer.sys is getting his hands on my data, so my next step will be to figure out how to get him to leave it alone. So, Audacity is out of the picture.
