Just a quick interjection here... Yes, magazine CDs are commercial distribution. In some cases the exact same magazine is available without a CD for less money, especially for international sales (the CD would double import costs for some countries, not to mention added bulk and weight) So one should advise magazines that they need to choose whether to include source (uses more space on CD) or include the written offer as described in the adjacent section of the GPL (potentially wastes staff time replying to requests if anyone actually calls them) On a different note... The change to track->Get() using seconds instead of samples seems to me to be a very bad change. As far as I can tell this has made code more complicated throughout Audacity, as well as making the API much harder to understand, and it doesn't even make any sense -- you can't actually request "fractions" of a sample. My guess is that this also saves up a future horror of "off by 0.5" errors in previews, effect output etc. that have the effect of users saying "You know, sometimes when I work with Audacity for a while, weird clicks appear in my audio".
