Until we hit version 1.0, please consider the project files to be "temporary" files that we may or may not support. Otherwise we'd have a nightmare trying to support all of the old formats, especially since some of the old ones had bugs. However, after that disclaimer: If you edit the .aup file in a text editor and change the version to 0.97, it _may_ open in the latest Audacity. It's worth a try. I changed the file format version number recently when I added some new info to the file which might affect the parsing. My long-term plan is to make the file format XML, and then write a simple class that will import all version 0.9x project files. Anyone have experience with XML parsers/generators in C/C++ for this purpose? I'd appreciate some advice... - Dominic Patrick Shirkey wrote: > I'm getting the message that my .aup files saved using audacity old are > not compatible with the new branch.
