A completely new Plug-in Manager might be a good thing, and if that
happens, then I'd propose that it includes a way to reset back to the
default selection of plug-ins.

If that doesn't happen, then I think it would be a useful stopgap to
fix known problems and add a button to reset back to the default
selection of plug-ins.
