I note that we spent time discussing this a month ago now. Several suggestions were made in this thread - none has been taken up - so we srill have the unsatisfactory situation of a misleading GUI in Prefs Spectralgrams where a) The Cancel button does not do what most users would expect a "cancel" to do - i.e. abort any changes in the current dialog, reverting to settings as they were before entering the dialog. b) OK and Apply being broadly similar in action. I ran up aginst this again when trying to deal with one of the P1s in the Manual: http://alphamanual.audacityteam.org/man/Spectrograms_Preferences Where the Apply button (nor the other buttons) is not documented. If the Cancel button is to continue not effecting a proper "canceel" with a revert the I think we should be raising a P3 on Bugzill and Release Noting this behavior. Peter.
