Hi, Gale I've been using Transifex for almost a year to translate other projects and I am very satisfied with it. It provides a very good hierarchical structure: Project maintainer Translations teams Team coordinator Team translators Team reviewers Furthermore, it is an easy online platform to understand and start translating projects. I would appreciate using only Transifex Cheers, On Wed, Jan 30, 2013 at 12:32 PM, Gale Andrews <ga...@au...>wrote: > > I quite often get told outside this list of the benefits of "Transifex". > > If we want to discuss this, I think it has to be done on this list, > definitely not on the Audacity Forum. > > I'm looking at https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/audacity/ . > > * Am I right to assume from the "100%" for Dutch and Turkish > that Thomas and Kaya are the only translators developing > their translations in Transifex instead of in an offline PO editor? > > * Is anyone else entirely using Transifex, or wants to do so? > > * Are the other more-or-less complete software translations > listed on Transifex "competing", "different" versions of the > complete translation committed by Audacity Team? > > * If Audacity Team committers were to do a "pull" from Transifex > to get the latest PO files as a batch, does this help very much? > How does the Team committer know which files are deemed > "ready" by the translator, unless the translator announces > their readiness to this list? > > > > Gale > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Everyone hates slow websites.
