If people hate it, it's just one more menu item, and we can remove it. Yes, we should go to more modular configuration, and not include extraneous stuff. But I think its popularity warrants including it as is. This is a minor version release. It's worth noting that Paul was an early contributor to Audacity. He wrote the original effect processing in Bass Boost, Phaser, and Wahwah. He's in the credits. After 2.0.1, it sounds like porting it to Nyquist is the best idea. Tested a bit on stuff I generated, listened to some of the samples in top reviews.
