Is this one bug or two? Audacity 1.3.13 or 1.3.14 on Windows XP or Linux Launch Audacity and add an audio track. Export as WAV Audacity allows the exporting of an empty track. Import the file that has been exported and Audacity freezes or crashes. On Windows XP if "Read directly" is selected, then Audacity freezes. In other case Audacity crashes. This is definitely a bug. Note that it is possible to accidentally create an empty WAV file by using Export Multiple if a label coincides with an empty or muted time region. Is it a bug that Audacity can export an empty WAV file? Audacity 1.3.12 XP: if "Make a copy" is selected, Audacity freezes. If "Read directly" is selected, Audacity does not freeze or crash (does nothing). Steve |
