It has recently been mentioned on the forum that when a short section is repeated using "loop play", the playback cursor and the actual playback position eventually move out of synch with each other (the playback cursor lags behind the actual playback position). To reproduce this effect, create a short tone (say 4 seconds) and silence part of it so that you can identify a specific position when it loops. Select the 4 seconds of audio and start loop play (SHIFT+Space). Go and make a cup of tea or coffee and come back after it has played through 40 times or so and the playback cursor will (probably) be out of synch with the audio playback. If classed as a bug I'd guess it would be P4 at most, but is it just a limitation of the hardware ? Forum thread: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=53315&p=129128#p129128 Steve |
