I've changed it now so that the new state is only saved if the whole chain completed successfully. I've also made it so that in all other cases, the state is reverted back to how it was before the chain was started. So it should no longer be possible for the results of a 'half-applied' chain to be left lying around. This is, I think, consistent with how normal effects behave, and so fits in with the idea of chains as 'meta-effects'. Dan |
