I can't actually try this right now, but I don't think this is going to
work.  The wxWidgets library needs to have untranslated accelerators.  Also,
doing this would cause Audacity to pass:

Zoom &avant \tFlèche haut\tUp

To wxWidgets which may confuse the issue even more.

But again, I'll have to try it when I get home.  Looks like a French version
of Windows 7 is in my near future.  :-)
