Well, there is one at https://translations.launchpad.net/audacity . All that is required there is that a developer talks with Launchpad about using it, and probably there's some setup required to get the .po-files from Launchpad into Audacity's sourceforge branch (wget+cron? =P), but I know of at least one other project that uses Launchpad exclusively for translations ( https://launchpad.net/noserub ). >From there on, a developer just has to give at least one person per language rights to approve translations, which shouldn't be too hard. If it should ever happen that someone puts in a bunch of work which takes forever to be approved (like if someone completely drops out without handing down the responsibility), it will at least be very visible and the developers and translators involved should be able to sort it out (eg. give another translator the right to approve). I may be wrong about Pootle, but at the moment the mood in here seems rather dim and I'd rather we try changing the light bulbs[1] than not doing anything at all. best regards, Kevin Brubeck Unhammer (nb-translator) [1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawthorne_effect |
