Since Nyquist Analyse plugs have a problem, I checked the Generate ones, and find there is no progress dialogue at all - Click Track of 120 measures takes 30 seconds here, but there is no indication of what is going on - not even a busy cursor. On checking the progress dialogues of compressor and Nyquist effects, I find here the "remaining time" is now back to the behaviour I usually see - a serious underestimate at first, with remaining time progressively increasing until about one quarter through. After that, it is accurate and declines correctly. Compressor indicates 7 minutes remaining after going for 30 seconds at a 90 minute track, but takes 22 minutes; Highpass indicates 3 minutes after 30 seconds at the same track but takes 8 minutes. I think people would not wait more than 30 seconds to see the expected time before going to do something else, so this isn't ideal. But Martyn said he was still getting mild overestimation at the start. Could it be something to do with my only having 10 GB disc space?
