Then they'd go > to the VS output window. I think it might be better to keep the output accessible in Release Builds if possible (assuming I'm understanding you aright). There is good information there about FFmpeg as I expect you know that may help with debugging user issues with it (it was useful when the correct FFmpeg lib was not recognised on Win 98/ME/2000 recently).
